Our guest speaker on 17 September, was The Most Reverend, Archbishop Sir David Moxon David studied education and psychology at UC. However, during the 1970s David’s faith developed and he was ordained as a priest in 1979. He served in North Island parishes before being consecrated as the Bishop of Waikato and in 2006 he was appointed Archbishop of New Zealand.

In 2012 David was appointed as the Archbishop of Canterbury's Representative to the Holy See and Director of the Anglican Centre in Rome. He was subsequently named an Archbishop Emeritus of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia by the General Synod / Te Hīnota Whānui.

His term of service in Rome ended with a private audience with Pope Francis on June 16 2017, and he returned to his wife and family in Hamilton allegedly to retire!

David spoke about the Pope, Mark Twain and Paul Harris were amongst the many topics discussed with members during last evenings presentation by the Most Reverend Archbisop Sir David Moxon. David's topic was
